As almost every hit series gets a reboot or spinoff or reunions, its time for CBS to reboot their best series of all time. "Person of interest" and "The big bang theory" are the 2 greatest hit shows from CBS.
Person of interest is a crime thriller series, created by Jonathan Nolan and broadcasting on CBS. It all starts when reclusive billionaire Harold Finch recruits former CIA special forces agent John Reese to investigate social security numbers of people who are about to be involved in violent crimes, either victims or perpetrators.
While The Big Bang Theory is one of the best sitcoms till now, it had its long run of 12 years to an end in 2019. The lives of four socially awkward friends, Leonard, Sheldon, Howard and Raj, take a wild turn when they meet the beautiful and free-spirited Penny.
Why the shows were cancelled?
In the case of P.O.I, the show creators never knew that season 5 was its ending. Being one of the best crime thrillers till now and being underrated, this show had just 5 seasons. The creators somehow knew that season 5 could be the end of their show and gave a perfect ending that many felt that it will be no better than this.
Also, it is said that CBS cancelled this show because they never made a huge profit from it because of Warner Bros. who had a great deal of Ad revenue.
While TBBT was cancelled because of the show's star Jim Parson who decided to leave the show after a decade of being in the show. in spite of wages, Jim Parson rejected his role for TBBT Season 13. When Parsons reached the creators, the latter decided to wrap up the series with Season 12, as he did not want to continue with the show without Parsons.
Is reboot happening?
Due to the massive revenue fall for CBS during the pandemic situation, CBS is now interested in rebooting their greatest shows. Though the plans are still in works and the official announcement is due, at least one of the show is very likely to get revived.
Also, it is said that Jim Parson is also interested in season 13 of TBBT and he is on board!...
